Sausage Stuffing

Description

A stuffing served up during Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Ingredients

  • 3 Lbs. sausage meat
  • 8 Cups bread crumbs
  • 2 Cups chopped celery
  • 2 Cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1½ Cups chopped onions
  • 2 Cups corn nibblets
  • 2 tsp ground sage
  • 2 tsp thyme
  • ¾ tsp pepper
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ Cup parsley
  • 1 Cup water

Directions

  1. Brown the sausage meat in a large skillet
  2. Add celery, mushrooms, and onion, cooking until the onion is tender
  3. Add water and bring to a boil
  4. Combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl
  5. Add sausage mixture to the bowl and mix well
  6. Bake at 350℉ for 45 minutes
